Trial Internship as Child Representation 100%The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counseling. It carries out the various counseling and support services centrally and decentrally at various locations in the canton of Zurich. The Regional Legal Service (RRD) takes over the legal representation of children and adolescents in child protection and ensures internal and external legal advice. In addition, the RRD advises unmarried parents regarding maintenance, custody, and care arrangements for their children.
Are you interested in the activity as child representation?
During the semester holidays, the Regional Legal Service in Wetzikon (districts Hinwil, Meilen, Pfäffikon, and Uster) offers unpaid one-week trial internships. During this time, you can gain insight into the work as child representation in family and criminal law proceedings as well as into counseling practice. You will have the opportunity to attend conversations with parents and, under certain circumstances, to participate in court hearings and interrogations.
Requirements are a completed bachelor's degree in law (Bachelor of Law), interest in family law and criminal law, child protection, and the concerns of children, adolescents, and their families.
