DESCRIPTION:
The Laboratory Associate sampling person is responsible for providing services and support activities within the QC department and to external partners/customers related to all sampling activities while maintaining sample submissions and organization of the facility. This role is based in the Lengnau site.
Key responsibilities include:
• Sampling of plant and clean utilities: different water types, compressed gases, clean steam
• Sampling of cleaning validation samples
• Sampling of raw materials
• Environmental monitoring sampling
• Daily laboratory maintenance (support, washers, waste disposal)
• Supporting the organization of the daily operations of all QC laboratories
• Performing sampling within the QC sampling unit
• Sample logistics (receipt, storage, SM LIMS registration, aliquoting, distribution and disposition of samples)
• Support of raw material sampling sessions at external warehouse (3PL)
• Supporting external shipment of QC samples (third party laboratories, suppliers or customers)
• Accurate recording of sampling protocols and storage of samples
• Supporting the day-to-day operations of all QC laboratories (materials management, equipment maintenance, FMS monitoring, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS:
• Strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and safety guidelines
• Ability to maintain compliance in assigned work and follow all safety procedures
• Strong documentation skills to meet cGMP/cGDP requirements
• Ability to suggest and implement procedures to improve sampling
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording sampling protocols and storing samples
• Flexibility to support various laboratory operations and maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and sampling techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Education:
Completed apprenticeship or traineeship in the pharmaceutical or food sector (ideal), alternatively lateral entrance with technical training.
• Ability to work independently in accordance with internal work procedures and accurate documentation.
• Customer focus and team spirit.
• Fluent in English
• Highly accurate and reliable working style .
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 2 years industry experience in a technical environment.
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
