About the job

• Advising the customer on-site regarding IT systems as well as actively shaping the agile project teams of the customer as a DevOps Engineer in the Consulting C5I area
• Accompanying the system from creation to introduction (concept, setup, and operation) throughout the entire lifecycle
• Specifying, evaluating, and configuring infrastructure components for ICT platforms
• Implementing and migrating ICT platforms
• Analyzing disruptions and error conditions as well as initiating and monitoring measures to resolve them
• Defining key parameters for checking service levels
• Defining escalation procedures
• Maintaining system technical documentation
• Goal-oriented action and promoting innovation as well as the feedback culture in the customer-integrated approach

• Degree in computer science or vocational training as an IT specialist EFZ with several years of professional experience or career changer with further training in computer science and professional experience
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization and container technologies, Ansible, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, data center management, network technologies as well as Windows and Linux systems
• Programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash shell
• Additional knowledge in firewall, NetApp, Kubernetes, Docker, ArcGIS, and Selenium is an advantage
• Independent, proactive, and conscientious working style
• Strong quality awareness and assertiveness
• Very good oral and written German skills as well as English skills (level B2) are an advantage
• Willingness to work in Thun and Bern
• Military career as a senior non-commissioned officer or officer is an advantage
