File Manager for the Outpatient Billing Unit
The CHUV is looking for a file manager between 80% - 100% to strengthen the outpatient billing sector. The starting date is scheduled for April 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Attached to the Patient Administrative Management Service (GAP), the Operational Billing Unit handles all outpatient (TARMED) and inpatient (DRG) stays at CHUV.
Mission
- You use the usual information systems of the billing service
- You contact patients and/or payers independently, pleasantly, and professionally
- You manage disputes over patient or other payers' invoices
- You process information received for insurances and patients
- You ensure the management of invoice returns (application of Tarmed, Tardoc, and other outpatient and hospital tariffs) as well as file follow-up
- You perform complex service entries
- You respect and ensure the follow-up of processes defined in the Billing Unit
- You are capable of managing and following up a file independently.
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification
- You have a Commercial Vocational Maturity, an additional asset
- You have at least 3 years of experience in the commercial field
- You have a strong interest in the administrative impact in the Hospital and Health sector
- You are interested in and knowledgeable about hospital billing
- You have knowledge of the various tariffs applicable in the outpatient and hospitalization sectors
- You have good knowledge of English and German
- You demonstrate team spirit in your daily work
- You are capable of proactively managing complex files and assimilating large quantities of files
- You have ease in communication, as well as the ability to adapt to repetitive and rigorous work.
