Tasks
The work of a baker-confectioner-pastry chef (specializing in bakery-pastry) is characterized by its versatility. In the bakery, you will learn the preparation of various types of dough such as yeast dough, shortcrust pastry, puff pastry, and sourdough, as well as baking different types of bread and rolls. Additionally, you will learn to make snacks such as empanadas, ham croissants, and individual items like Biberfladen, Linzer torte, etc.
The pastry section is known for its sweet delicacies. Here you will learn the craft of making cakes, 25 different pastries, baked goods, pies, and much more. Your creativity is often required, especially when decorating/modeling cakes.
Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to work in the confectionery and learn the craft of a chocolatier. This includes making pralines, chocolate bars, Easter bunnies, and more.
