Train Driver Trainee (100%)

As a train driver, you contribute every day to the safe and punctual transport of our customers and play an essential role in the smooth operation of the railway network. Autonomous, you ensure the driving of trains on the lines assigned to you, in strict compliance with operating regulations. Your sense of responsibility and your ability to remain calm and focused allow you to handle unforeseen situations with discernment.
TPF offers you the opportunity to become a train driver through a paid training period of 10 months. This prepares you for the theoretical and practical competency exam according to the guidelines of the Federal Office of Transport (FOT). During this phase, full-time commitment is required and supervision is provided by our Railway Training service. At the end of this training, you fully access the position and join our teams in Bulle or Givisiez.
Do you recognize yourself in the following?
- You hold a CFC or a diploma recognized in Switzerland. Foreign diplomas must be officially recognized before applying
- The position involves irregular hours, including weekends, nights, and public holidays
- You meet the medical and psychological requirements for railway driving
- You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and can keep your composure in all circumstances
- You communicate easily in French and have German knowledge certified at least at level A1 (certification required)
- You have a clean criminal record
- The training requires significant personal commitment, a strong learning ability, and high autonomy
