The Directorate for Security, Environment and Energy is committed to safety, protection and assistance, environmental protection, sustainable energy supply and is responsible for building permit procedures as well as for the Bern Zoo. The Office for Adult and Child Protection is the competence center of the City of Bern in the field of clarifications and guardianships.
Activities
- Maintenance and expansion of internal quality management to ensure and further develop professional and administrative standards as well as development and updating of quality guidelines, work instructions and process descriptions
- Analysis, design and optimization of business processes with a focus on efficiency, transparency and legal compliance
- Planning and conducting internal audits as well as accompanying external evaluations
- Ensuring continuous improvement (CIP) through systematic evaluation of feedback, audit results and performance and quality indicators
- Creating reports, statistics, presentations and training materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Leading and coordinating internal projects and subprojects, especially in the area of digitization and process optimization
- Introduction, support and further development of digital work tools (e.g. specialist software, document management and collaboration systems)
- Planning and conducting internal training to promote digital skills and on quality requirements, processes and methods
- Taking over project management or subproject management in interdisciplinary projects and in cooperation with other municipal offices
- Special tasks and projects for the department and division management, especially in the case management system and in the event of damage cases
Profile
- Higher education (e.g. business administration, administrative management, process management, project management or comparable)
- Several years of professional experience in quality or process management, preferably in the public sector or social services
- Sound knowledge in project management as well as in the introduction and support of digital solutions
- Analytical and structured working style with a high awareness of quality and implementation strength
- Confident appearance, communication and networking skills across all hierarchical levels
- Interest in further developing processes and in interdisciplinary collaboration between case management, administration and IT
