The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 employees. The Rennaz Hospital Center, inaugurated at the end of 2019, has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. To complete our hospitality and catering unit, we are looking for a:
Group Leader Catering M/F at 80%-100%
The main responsibilities of this position are

Manage the daily operations of the restaurants, public cafeterias, and shops of the HRC by ensuring quality catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the institution, in compliance with professional standards and the rules in force within the institution

Supervise and support hotel staff on site, especially during peak hours at points of sale, ensuring a positive, stimulating, and respectful work environment conducive to collective performance and individual development

In collaboration with the unit's management team, participate in the development and implementation of strategies to ensure continuous improvement of work organization, service quality, as well as team cohesion and motivation, while valuing employee commitment and ideas

Participate in the daily management and preparation of monthly schedules for hotel staff

Manage orders, stocks, and inventories of points of sale within the allocated budget and in collaboration with the unit's administrative coordinator

Maintain hygiene and safety standards in compliance with professional standards and the rules in force within the institution

Maintain trusting relationships with internal and external partners of the institution
We require
Experience:
-
Significant experience (+5 years) in team supervision in the traditional hotel and catering sector required

Experience in banquet service, catering, or events desired
-
Experience in high-end catering is an asset
-
Experience in a hospital environment is an asset
Skills:

Knowledge of HACCP & proactive sales techniques

Culinary and oenological knowledge

Proficiency in standard MS Office tools

Proficiency in TCPOS or Logimen software is an asset

Fluency in French, both spoken and written

English proficiency at B2 level desired

Other language(s) an asset
Training:

Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a catering specialist or equivalent qualification or significant experience in catering (+5 years) required

Barista training desired
