We are looking for an Animal Caretaker starting immediately or by agreement:
Your Tasks
- Animal welfare-compliant housing, care, and breeding of laboratory animals (mice and rats) under barrier conditions in IVCs
- Cleaning, disinfection, sterilization work
- Online documentation of the animal inventory and experimental and breeding processes
- Assisting in the treatment of animals in experiments
- Assessment of the health status of laboratory animals
Your Profile
- Completed training as a laboratory animal caretaker with corresponding qualification certificate
- Several years of professional experience with rodents in laboratory animal care
- Experience with working on a PC and with animal management systems (PyRAT)
- Reliability, diligence, and sense of responsibility
- High team spirit, willingness to work weekends
- Enjoyment in responsibly handling animals
- Interest in biological processes
