What you can achieve
- Consulting and support for researchers throughout the entire data lifecycle – from study planning through data collection and analysis to the structured sharing of research data
- Extraction of clinical routine data from the hospital's internal data warehouse as well as integration of data from various sources
- Preparation of complex clinical datasets including quality control, anonymization, and compliance with data governance requirements
- Design and implementation of exploratory analyses, reports, and visualizations in reproducible workflows for studies as well as cohorts and registries
- Development and maintenance of R packages and applications (e.g., R-Shiny apps)
- Building and maintaining sustainable collaborations with internal teams, research groups, and external stakeholders
What you bring with you
- Very good knowledge of R and SQL; experience with tidyverse, R Shiny, or plotly is an advantage. Knowledge of Bash, JavaScript, or Python is a plus
- Solid experience in data preparation and cleaning; experience with clinical routine data and observational studies is an advantage
- Medical expertise in the hospital environment as well as knowledge of clinical source systems (e.g., HIS, LIS) facilitate the entry
- Analytical thinking, structured scientific working methods, and very good German and English skills
- Experience with reporting tools such as LaTeX or Markdown/Quarto as well as with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
- Knowledge of FAIR data principles, handling sensitive data, and health data standards (e.g., openEHR, CDISC, SNOMED CT) is an advantage
- Service-oriented personality with strong communication skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration
