ARIS is a student initiative based at ETH Zürich (Dübendorf) that inspires students across Switzerland to gain hands-on space-related project experience and contribute to space-related project challenges through academic and industry collaborations. As part of the business team, you will tackle the challenge of enhancing our competition systems, growing our team, and building our network.

From the technical side, ARIS is currently making progress on several exciting projects, including developing a hybrid rocket engine with a guided recovery system for the European Rocketry Challenge in Portugal. Additionally, ARIS is developing a CubeSat with the SAGE project and working on the Karman rocket project to build a rocket capable of flying up to 100 km. We are also building a biliquid engine test stand to further our research and development in this field.

On the business side, ARIS has been expanding its team in areas such as marketing, finance, and HR, and collaborating with new academic partners to provide the best possible framework for all engineering projects.

The goal of the business team is to constantly develop processes to address ongoing growth. To achieve our ambitious projects and continue our exciting growth, we require a motivated Merchandise Manager who can contribute to the team by enhancing competition systems, growing our team, and building our network.

As a Merchandise Manager for ARIS, you would also be responsible for interacting with our support Track 13 who make our merch. This would include:

  • Quality control: You would be responsible for ensuring that merchandise produced by Track 13 meets ARIS’ quality standards, and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Communication and collaboration: You would need to communicate and collaborate effectively with Track 13, providing feedback and guidance as needed to ensure that merchandise is produced to ARIS’ specifications.
  • Budget management: You would be responsible for managing the merchandise budget, including negotiating prices with Track 13 and ensuring that production costs remain within budget.
