At Funky Claude's Bar, our guests discover refined cocktails and unique flavors, all in an electrifying musical atmosphere every evening. As a Server, you will be the ambassador of the hotel, offering a unique and special service that will enhance the experience of every guest.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Funky Claude's Bar, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Serve customers according to their expectations and Fairmont standards
- Be responsible for the proper execution of setups and preparation of your area
- Serve drink and food orders at the table
- Know perfectly the drinks menu, cocktails, whisky, wines and suggest to the customer
- Know perfectly the food menu and be able to advise the customer
- Prepare cutlery according to orders, fetch food from the kitchen, and clear tables in your area
- Participate in creating the Funky atmosphere at the Bar
- Participate in themed evenings and contribute to the entertainment
- Create customer relationships
- Perfect your technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for a demanding clientele
- Know the technical and emotional standards of LQA and apply them
- Know the concept of Funky Claude’s Bar
- Use the "Silverware" cash register system and place drink and food orders
- Ensure opening and closing tasks of the bar alternately with colleagues
- Communicate problems or anomalies to your supervisor
- Participate in training offered in catering
- Participate in banquet and event service held at the hotel, upon request
- Commit to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work occasionally in another department
- Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene and sanitary prescriptions
- Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
- All other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience in bar/restaurant service
- Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel is an asset
- Fluency in French
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Recognized diploma in service is an asset
- Cocktail knowledge is an asset
- Knowledge of the Silverware system is an asset
- Competitive spirit for sales
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work at night
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to focus attention on customer needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Constant: lifting and carrying loads

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To be able to work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from a European country of the EU – 17 or EU -8.
