Witron Logistics IT Lead (MES/WMS)

Role Description: Leading a team to implement, configure, and provide comprehensive operational support for Witron's automated logistics and IT systems. This role requires deep expertise in Witron's solutions, with a strong emphasis on integrating and managing material flow, automation, and IT systems within a CPG or retail distribution center.

Technical Experience
- Lead the deployment and operational support for Witron's automated logistics and material flow systems in a CPG or retail distribution center environment. You will need to fully understand the end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Manage a team responsible for both new system implementations and ongoing operational support for Witron solutions across multiple sites. This includes handling daily technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and leading small enhancement work to optimize system performance.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, PLC engineers, and IT teams to configure, test, and commission the Witron solution, ensuring seamless integration between the IT layer and the physical automation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of work, particularly during critical on-site project commissioning and ramp-up phases.
- Assist in preparing effort estimations and supporting RFI & RFP processes related to logistics automation projects.
Professional Attributes
- Proven, hands-on experience with the full lifecycle of a Witron logistics IT solution, including implementation, configuration, and support.
- Strong technical knowledge of Witron's IT systems, including its Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS), and integration with enterprise systems (ERP).
- Experience in operational support is crucial, including troubleshooting software issues, analyzing log files, and coordinating with automation and maintenance teams to resolve system downtime.
- Experience in small enhancement work, such as optimizing order allocation logic, route planning algorithms, or configuring system rules to improve throughput and efficiency.
- Sound knowledge of database management systems, particularly Oracle or MS SQL, for supporting the Witron application.
- Expertise in integrating COTS systems with automated material handling equipment (MHE) and understanding of industrial communication with PLC/SCADA systems.
Educational Qualification
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between IT and operations teams.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to keeping automated systems running smoothly.
Good to Have Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with other COTS logistics or MES solutions from prominent vendors.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT, and data analytics in a logistics context.
- Experience in an Agile project environment.
