The training to become a dipl. Specialist in Surgical Technology HF lasts three years.

It is open to interested persons with completed vocational training and certified nursing professionals HF. We offer this further education at the locations Lucerne, Sursee, and Wolhusen.

Your Field of Activity

• Organization and planning of the daily routine within an operating department
• Proper preparation of sterile goods during the operation
• Operation of technical equipment and devices
• Ensuring hygiene, asepsis, and antisepsis in the operating area
• Structural, personnel, and material organization and logistics in the operating area

Your Training

You will complete the school training at the Higher Technical School for Health and Social Affairs in Aarau. For employment at LUKS, you must have passed the admission procedure at HFGS Aarau.

• Two reference addresses

After receiving the documents, we will forward your registration for the admission procedure to the Higher Technical School for Health and Social Affairs HFGS in Aarau.

The admission procedure consists of the following parts:

• Multicheck Competence Analysis Health HF
• Suitability internship at LUKS (practical suitability assessment)
• Selection interview at LUKS

(The Multicheck Professional Health HF does not have to be completed by:
 

• Graduates of BMS, FMS, and Gymnasium.
• FaGe in training: school report of the vocational school with an average grade of 5 from the 4th semester in general education and vocational knowledge. In addition, the educational report of the practice must also have an average grade of 5.
• FaGe with EFZ: average grade of 5 in professional practice, professional knowledge, and general education.

The Multicheck costs will be reimbursed to you if you have successfully completed the 1st school block at HFGS.)
