Instrumentalist (IDDO or TSO) in Orthopedics and Traumatology
For our operating room of the Department of the Locomotor System, we are looking for an operating room technician (TSO) or an instrumental nurse (IDDO) for July 1, 2025.

The operating room of the CHUV Orthopedic Hospital, located at the top of the building, has three ultra-modern operating rooms built in 2016 on an innovative wood and steel structure. Designed to maximize natural light, this 1,299 m² space integrates with the existing architecture while asserting a strong identity, designed to optimize logistical flows and quality of care. You will join a dynamic team within a high-performance and stimulating environment, with no night, weekend, or evening work.
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and training.
The Department of the Locomotor System (DAL) manages osteoarticular pathologies through advanced medical and surgical approaches. The Orthopedics and Traumatology Service treats traumatic and degenerative conditions of limbs and joints. Composed of more than 300 collaborators, including 40 specialized surgeons, it operates through competence centers (shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, infections, tumors, etc.) to provide excellent care.
Mission
- You prepare and instrument interventions in various orthopedic surgery specialties
- You rigorously apply hygiene and safety measures according to risks related to patients and medical devices
- You collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to care for operated patients, ensuring quality reception and support
- You actively contribute to the smooth running of the service's activities and the development projects of the operating room.
Profile
- You hold a diploma as an operating room technician or a nurse diploma with specialization in instrumentation
- You demonstrate rigor, dynamism, precision, initiative, and good interpersonal skills
- You are capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- You are comfortable with common computer tools (Windows environment)
- You have a good command of spoken and written French (minimum B2 level)
Depending on your profile, the salary class will be between level 9 and level 10
