About the job
About ICS
At the Inter-Community School Zurich (ICS), we are more than a school – we are an international community where everyone feels welcome. For over six decades, ICS has been proud to provide first-class education as Switzerland’s oldest international school and as a leading IB World School. Located just 10 km from Zurich’s old town, in the scenic village of Zumikon, we are surrounded by nature while being close to the heart of the city.
We believe in creating an environment where both students and staff can thrive, grow, and achieve their full potential.
Your Role
We are seeking an Attendance Coordinator Support (Intern) to join our Secondary Office in 2025 to June 2026.
This internship plays a key role in supporting the smooth daily operations of the Secondary Office — ensuring accurate student attendance tracking, clear communication with staff and parents, and well-coordinated administrative processes.
The role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented, and adaptable individual eager to gain experience in an international school environment, learning from experienced administrative professionals.
What you will do
Monitor attendance-related communications and update records in ManageBac.
Welcome students signing in or out during the school day and ensure accurate documentation.
Serve as a friendly first point of contact for students, staff, and parents.
Support daily communication between the Secondary Office, teachers, and other departments.
Contribute to documentation, lists and data updates related to attendance and bus rota on ManageBac and SchoolBuddy.
Provide general administrative and organisational support to the Student Attendance and Campus Operations Coordinator, escalating attendance or safeguarding concerns.
What makes you our ideal Candidate
- Currently studying for or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- No prior experience required — motivated to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- High attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
- Clear and confident communicator with a positive and professional attitude.
- Fluent in English (native or near-native level); German preferred; additional languages are an advantage.
- Enjoys working in a caring, multicultural, and student-centred environment.
What we offer you: terms & benefits
- Fixed-term hourly-basis internship until June 2026
- Indicative working hours: availability daily from 8:00 to 13:00
- On-site work at our Zumikon campus
- School holidays
- Free parking on campus
- A meaningful experience in a collaborative and international educational environment
- Opportunities for professional development and impact within a forward-looking HR team
