Tasks:

• collaboration in the activities of the Ticino screening program center and in the activities of the Cantonal Cancer Registry (e.g., regular preparation of reimbursements related to services, development of forms, updating lists of eligible persons, updating web pages)
• collaboration in the quality monitoring system of screening programs and the registry with quality controls and regular production of quality indicators (colorectal screening, mammography screening, and cancer registry)
• collaboration with various cantonal and national services and service providers
• other technical-operational and scientific tasks assigned by the Cantonal Cancer Registry and the Ticino screening program center compatible with the function and personal training

Requirements:

• bachelor + master or bachelor in a scientific field with good knowledge in medical/health statistics and cancer epidemiology
• excellent computer skills and management of statistical programs (preferably SAS System)
• organizational skills and excellent knowledge of Italian and good spoken and written knowledge of German and English (possibly French)
• leadership and mediation skills
• initiative and ability to work independently and in a team
• knowledge of the cantonal and national health system
• work experience in epidemiology at a cancer registry or screening center could be a preferential factor

Special notes:

• the position of Scientific Collaborator I (class 10) can only be assigned to candidates with complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive Bachelor + Master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
• the position of Scientific Collaborator II (class 9) will be assigned to candidates holding only a Bachelor or a short degree or to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive master or university of applied sciences (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)
• start date: to be agreed

Employment conditions:

• working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment rate), flexible or according to service needs
