The Social Counseling and Services section of the Social Services Department is looking for a
Clerical Worker Refugee Counseling (70%)
Your main tasks
- You take over the counter service during the opening hours of refugee counseling (Monday to Thursday, 2 hours per day, alternating morning and afternoon) and are responsible for telephone inquiries. You are thus the first contact person for refugees.
- You carry out the administrative intake process and support the social workers in case intake.
- With your ideas and input, you contribute to the further development of the new position and commit yourself to high professionalism and expertise in the team.
- You actively participate in team meetings and exchange forums of social counseling.
- You support the team with administrative and organizational tasks.
What you bring
- You have completed a commercial basic education and have several years of experience in administration. Your knowledge from the migration or refugee sector is a key factor for this task.
- Your German skills are confident in style. Additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
- You meet people in difficult life situations with respect, patience, and empathy. Your communication skills help you build trust and positive encounters.
- You work independently, reliably, and remain calm even in hectic moments.
- Humor, motivation, and team spirit characterize you.
- You are open to the ongoing digitalization process of social services and handle IT programs confidently. Knowledge of KLIBnet is an advantage.
- Your networked thinking and service-oriented attitude complete your profile.
