The Communications Department is responsible for public relations, fundraising, and political lobbying. Caritas Zurich relies on a wide range of instruments and measures in fundraising.
We are looking for a
Responsible for Fundraising Foundations, Major Donors, Companies (80-90%) starting December 1, 2025, or by agreement due to maternity leave.
Your tasks
We are looking for a proactive hands-on personality who thinks networked and entrepreneurially and enjoys engaging with various stakeholders. Become part of a lively and creative team with plenty of room for design, where new ideas are not only welcome but also encouraged.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Raising financial resources from private institutions (foundations, associations, service clubs, etc.)
- Building corporate partnerships
- Expanding our legacy activities
- Preparing documents and applications as well as creating interim and final reports (reporting)
- Researching and acquiring new foundations and corporate contacts as well as maintaining existing contacts
- Coordination with regional Caritas organizations and Caritas Switzerland
- Budget planning and controlling
- Acquisition of new major donors, upgrading existing donors, and relationship management
Our requirements
- Professional training in fundraising/marketing or equivalent further education
- Several years of experience in major donor, legacy, and/or institutional fundraising
- Winning and communicative personality with a professional appearance
- Empathy, good knowledge of people, and broad general education
- Experienced in preparing project documents
- Proficient in MS Office programs and experienced in working with databases, ideally Sextant
- Fluent German in spoken and written form as well as editorial skills
- English skills are an advantage
The workplace is Zurich.
Start date: 01.12.2025 or by agreement.
