About the job
You work 100% in Zug
This position offers you
- You lead the toolmaking team with around 12 employees – present, clear, and on equal footing. You create an environment with psychological safety where performance is demanded and promoted, feedback is natural, and everyone takes responsibility
- You are deeply knowledgeable: The timely and quality-compliant production of tools, fixtures, and spare parts is your responsibility. You understand the technical contexts, can participate in discussions, question, and help out yourself if needed
- You consistently develop your team – both professionally and culturally. You recognize potential, openly address challenges, and actively accompany changes. You bring in new perspectives and manage to win even a well-coordinated team over to new visions
- In daily shopfloor management, you keep an overview: You analyze deviations, derive clear measures, and ensure their implementation. You lead with numbers, facts, and clarity – while staying close to the people
- You ensure a high-performance machine park, plan the procurement of manufacturing aids proactively, and ensure stable, efficient processes
- Together with the head of toolmaking, you work on the short- and medium-term development of the area. You contribute ideas, question the status quo, and consistently drive the continuous improvement process – with visible impact in everyday life
You bring the following for the position
- You have completed vocational training as a toolmaker, polymechanic, or in a comparable field as well as further training as a technician HF. You are technically skilled and move confidently between the workbench, CAD model, and production planning
- You bring several years of leadership experience and understand leadership as a daily task – clear, binding, and appreciative. You set ambitious goals, provide orientation, and remain calm and decisive even in demanding situations
- You think entrepreneurially, act solution-oriented, and have the ambition to continuously improve performance. You combine a hands-on mentality with strategic foresight
- You see change as an opportunity. You have the energy and persuasiveness to inspire the team for new goals, standards, and ways of thinking
- You have very good IT user skills, ideally in SAP and related systems, and use key figures as a management tool
- Experience in work preparation and/or production scheduling is a plus – but your holistic understanding of manufacturing processes is more important
- You communicate clearly, directly, and respectfully. You give feedback regularly and constructively – and also request it
- Your fluent German skills in spoken and written form (at least C1/C2) complete your profile
