The St. Jakob Foundation in Zurich offers around 450 protected jobs and day structures for people with disabilities. These are supported by 170 professionals. At the same time, the St. Jakob Foundation enables people with and without support needs to enter the professional world.
Your Tasks
In this versatile cleaning role, you ensure cleanliness and well-being in our premises. You take on the thorough and independent cleaning of office rooms, common rooms, sanitary facilities, and general areas. This includes tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, wet mopping, and caring for various floor coverings.
In addition, you clean windows, doors, furniture, and surfaces, empty trash bins, and take care of the proper disposal of waste. You ensure that consumables such as soap and paper are always replenished and observe compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. Careful handling of cleaning machines and agents is a matter of course for you, and you report damages or special incidents to the responsible person. In doing so, you work closely with our employees from the secondary labor market, accompany and support them in carrying out daily tasks, thus promoting their independence and development.
Requirements
- Experience in cleaning buildings or premises is an advantage
- Good knowledge of cleaning and hygiene standards
- Careful, reliable, and independent working style
- Sense of responsibility and attention to cleanliness and order
- Physical resilience and enjoyment of practical work
- Good German skills for communication and documentation
- A passionate team spirit, patience and resilience as well as empathy and motivation
