(Software) Applications Technician

Verity is the global leader in autonomous indoor drone systems. Our integrated inventory tracking system enables zero-error warehousing for big box retailers, third-party logistics providers, and manufacturers. We are seeking a highly skilled Application Technician to join our team at Verity

Whenever Verity is commissioning a new indoor drone system, there is to a certain extent a need of integration work to enable the client making the best out of our system. You, as an Application Technician, will support this process. This includes analyzing data from the drones, comparing it with the customer system’s requirements and configuring and tuning our parameters accordingly. You will then share your insights and report improvements, limitations and options for further work. You will work as well closely with other teams to improve our processes and further product development.

On top of this, existing systems potentially need adjustments, for example when Verity releases a new software feature or when the client’s needs changed.

What you’ll do

  • Roll out new applications according to a release plan and execute corresponding changes to the system
  • Support and troubleshoot commissioning process through effective business application software.​
  • Utilize monitoring tools and execute needed action after analysis of results.
  • Collaborating with application, service and support teams recommending changes for performance improvements as a result of data from dashboards and monitoring tools.
  • Act as an expert for technical support of systems in the field

What you bring

  • Technical background from education (completed technical apprenticeship, completed BSc / MSc)
  • Ideally with around 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Additional plus:
    • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
    • Experience with cloud software, AWS
  • Tools and frameworks:
    • Linux
    • confident to use a terminal
    • Familiarity with Excel or similar tools
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
