Procedural Assistance for Department Management 80%The Zurich Public Prosecutor's Office, with over 500 employees, is responsible for prosecuting crimes committed by adults throughout the canton of Zurich. To relieve caseworkers in all regions and ensure sustainable workload balance, the Relief Public Prosecutor's Office (ESTA) will be established on April 1, 2026. This will integrate the already existing Department J with prosecutors serving as floaters ("Joker"), and additionally, a department with commercial assistant prosecutors will be created to handle mass delinquency.
To complement our team, we are looking for a Procedural Assistant to the Department Management (80%) starting May 1, 2026, or by agreement, limited until December 31, 2029.
Your tasks:
- You will relieve the department head in the role of lead investigating prosecutor. This includes organizing interrogations, managing criminal files, and preparing and issuing decisions. You will also maintain regular contact with authorities, parties, and third parties.
- You will actively participate in building the new department. You will take responsibility for the associated organizational and administrative tasks, thus freeing the department head.
- You will work closely with colleagues in management assistance and business control and contribute to a collegial and forward-looking team culture in the new organization.
Your profile:
- You have completed commercial training and ideally have professional experience in a court, law firm, or public prosecutor's office environment.
- You are a flexible and reliable organizational talent with a proactive attitude and high commitment.
- You think ahead and are characterized by team spirit and strong service orientation.
- Your communication skills are demonstrated by confident German, both spoken and written.
- You have a positive mindset, are digitally savvy, and proactively embrace technological innovations.
