Your Impact
- Provide expert advisory services on regulatory topics (mainly in the banking sector - Basel Framework, FINMA, and other regulatory frameworks), offering strategic insights and solutions to enhance clients' financial risk management practices.
- Gain expert knowledge in conducting comprehensive regulatory audits for Swiss and Liechtenstein banks, ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations.
- Monitor and analyse regulatory developments, especially in the banking sector, ensuring clients are informed and prepared for changes in regulatory standards.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for clients and colleagues to enhance understanding of regulatory expectations and effective risk management strategies.
- Analyse and communicate complex regulatory inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and informed guidance to facilitate compliance and strategic decision making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement risk management frameworks that align with regulatory requirements.
Your Skill Set
- Have completed or are nearing completion of an advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in fields such as quantitative finance, economics, business administration, or other quantitative fields like physics, mathematics, computer science, or data science.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the banking industry, particularly from a financial risk management perspective; advanced accounting knowledge is a strong plus.
- Demonstrate an analytical mindset and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Excel as a team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across various groups.
- Communicate effectively within a diverse team and with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Have prior experience (1-3 years in an associate role, internships, or as a working student) in the banking industry or a consulting firm in a similar area, though this is ideal but not required.
- Possess programming knowledge in languages suitable for data analysis and quantitative modeling, such as Python and/or R, though this is ideal but not required.
- Are fluent in English and German, with fluency in French being a strong plus.
