In the canton of Thurgau, all residents should feel safe. This is ensured by over 500 employees of the Thurgau Cantonal Police around the clock with a modern organization and in close contact with the population.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a maternity cover, limited to one year, starting April 1, 2026, or by arrangement, for a

• Handling legal issues, especially in administrative, criminal, and procurement law
• Drafting consultations for the canton (and federal government)
• Preparation of government council decisions
• Ensuring complaint management
• Conducting administrative investigations
• Ensuring damage management, legal assistance for other authorities, and processing requests for file inspection
• Drafting and reviewing contracts
• Maintenance and coordination of service regulations and instructions

• Completed studies in law
• Solid knowledge and experience in administrative, criminal, and procedural law
• Ideally professional experience in a police corps or an emergency service organization
• Negotiation-secure as well as stylistically confident and audience-appropriate communication
• Ability to understand complex issues and independently develop solutions
• Flexible and cooperative personality with a high service orientation
• Structured, efficient, and quality-conscious way of working
• Confidentiality and discretion
