About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for Environmental Remediation to join our team in Lausanne or Zurich. In this position, you will lead and coordinate remediation and contaminated land projects, working closely with clients, technical specialists, regulatory authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in project management, preferably gained in a consulting environment, as well as a strong technical background in (hydro)geology, environmental engineering, earth sciences, or a related field.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee environmental remediation projects from planning to execution and close-out.
- Lead site investigations, conceptual site model development, risk assessments, and remediation design.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Act as main point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables and clear communication.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, budgets, and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with Swiss environmental regulations, guidelines, and industry standards.
- Support business development through proposal preparation, client presentations, and identification of new opportunities.
Your Profile
- Degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or a closely related field.
- Several years of experience managing environmental remediation or contaminated land projects; consulting experience is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of soil and groundwater contamination, remediation technologies, and investigation methods.
- Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Swiss environmental regulatory frameworks (cantonal and federal).
- Fluent German, French and English
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.
