The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) is responsible for ensuring the protection of children and adults. It clarifies the situation based on reports from affected individuals or third parties. If adults cannot safeguard their own interests and are unable to appoint someone to do so, or if parents do not sufficiently care for the well-being of their children and are not fully or partially able to access the necessary support, the KESB orders appropriate protective measures or support. The KESB District Dietikon, based in the city of Dietikon, is responsible for Aesch, Birmensdorf, Dietikon, Geroldswil, Oberengstringen, Oetwil an der Limmat, Schlieren, Uitikon, Unterengstringen, Urdorf, and Weiningen, with a total of 95,000 residents. The Legal & Social Affairs department conducts clarifications and supports the authority members in their further tasks.
For the Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) of the District Dietikon, Legal & Social Affairs Department, we are looking for a temporary position starting immediately for 6 months.
- Independent clarification of facts and issuing corresponding orders to third parties, involving relevant know-how
- Independent conduct of hearings, ensuring legal representation
- Drafting of decisions
- Minutes taking at authority meetings
- Supporting the authority in further tasks
- Providing information on child and adult protection topics (by phone and at the counter)
- Tertiary degree in law, social work, or psychology
- Professional experience in child and adult protection law, at the court, or in a professional guardianship
- Ability to address social issues in a legal context and focus clarifications on the level of KESB activities
- Resilience, flexibility, a touch of humor, and willingness to think constructively for the whole
- Conceptual, analytical, and networked thinking
- Proficient in oral and written expression
