With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical center focused on the elderly and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-related specific problems, medical rehabilitation, and palliative medicine.
The Palliative Medicine Service cares for adult patients approaching the end of life, whose health condition requires specialized palliative care due to the physical or psychological symptoms they suffer from. These patients are hospitalized for short and medium stays and receive sometimes complex care provided by a multidisciplinary team, often until the end of their lives. Job Description
Do you want to advance within the canton’s leading university medical institution? Do you want to collaborate with renowned specialists in geriatrics and internal medicine?
As Chief of Clinic, with or without a specialty title, you ensure the quality of medical services in the care units within your area of expertise.
You coordinate practical activities as well as diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for the patients entrusted to you in close collaboration with the assistant physicians.
Working in a stimulating university environment within an interdisciplinary team, you also contribute to the training of internal physicians.
You participate in clinical research activities and, depending on your personal interest, start a quality or clinical research project with specific supervision.
Qualifications
You hold the federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Medical Professions Commission of the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO).
You benefit from or are close to obtaining the FMH specialty title in general internal medicine.
If you hold an FMH specialty title, you must have a practice license in the canton of Geneva.
For non-French-speaking candidates, C1 level in spoken and written French is required.
You are a person with good communication skills in an interdisciplinary team and with patients, you are dynamic, flexible, and committed.
