Teacher for Biology/biologia
Bündner Kantonsschule | 50–100 % | Chur
The Bündner Kantonsschule is an important educational institution with around 1,000 students of all three cantonal languages. As a department of the Office for Higher Education, it offers secondary school programs at the long- and short-term gymnasium as well as at the specialized, commercial, and computer science secondary schools. As a teacher for Biology/biologia, you will teach students at the gymnasium and the specialized secondary school.
We are looking for a teacher for Biology/biologia for our school starting August 1, 2026.
Your area of responsibility
- Teaching in the subject area of Biology/biologia at the gymnasium and the specialized secondary school. Depending on the workload, a part-time position may be offered only in Italian or German.
- Organization and implementation of project weeks, class events, and excursions in a team with other teachers
- Taking on various tasks within the subject department
- Participation in development projects of the overall school
What we expect from you
- Completed university degree in the teaching subject Biology as well as a teaching diploma for Matura schools
- Bilingualism for teaching in the cantonal languages German and Italian (one language as mother tongue, the other at C2 level) or monolingual with good knowledge of the other language
- Proven language skills in English at level C2 are an advantage and entitle you to conduct immersion teaching in biology
- Flexible, proactive, and team-oriented personality who enjoys working with young people. We also expect a communicative person who takes responsibility and is happy to engage in school life
- Teaching experience at secondary level II is an advantage
