A position of game librarian at 32.5% is open for application within the Ludothèque Pré-Picot.
Job Description
- Participate in the activities of the game library, particularly in the following areas:
- a) welcoming users and lending games;
- b) creating and arranging thematic spaces;
- c) animations in the game library (welcoming extracurricular groups) and outreach (game library festivals, Escalade costume rental, open days, game evenings, neighborhood festivals, Ville en jeux at the Plainpalais hall);
- d) research, handling, and organizing games/toys;
- e) managing social networks;
- Design, carry out, and propose an animation activity in the field of play, in connection with the neighborhood and other existing reception structures.
Qualifications
- You must have obtained the training for Leisure Activity Supervision Functions (FFETL - CEFOC): module 1 of this training is a prerequisite before hiring, CFC ASE or any training deemed equivalent,
- A strong creative and manual sense,
- Good contact with all generations, a taste for play and the desire to develop it in others,
- At least 5 years of experience in the social and/or associative field,
- Successful experience working in a team,
- Volunteer game librarian experience would be an asset,
- Good knowledge of the social system and the Geneva associative network,
- An innate sense of social and human relations, a taste for working with multiple partners,
- Ability to integrate within a small team (6 people),
- Good knowledge of computer tools / basic office software / social network management such as Facebook.
Additional Information
- The position requires some flexibility and availability during specific off-hours animations,
- Work in the afternoons: Wednesday, Thursday; Thursday morning or noon; Saturday morning,
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 8
