The Cantonal Social Office with over 280 employees takes on diverse, controlling and operational tasks mainly in social assistance, social insurance, social institutions and in the asylum sector at the interface between the federal government, other cantons, cities, municipalities and various private organizations. It also runs its own facility, tilia, which has over 124 residential and employment places, divided into 12 residential groups and 5 studio areas. The locations are Rheinau, Winterthur, Embrach and Freienstein. Tilia cares for, accompanies and promotes adult people with cognitive and/or psychological impairments.
For our residential groups in Freienstein, Embrach, Winterthur and at the Rheinau location, we are looking for an internship student 70-80% starting February 1, 2026 or by arrangement, limited between 6-12 months.
Your main tasks
- You get to know the care concept of the respective residential group, actively participate in everyday life and promote the practical life skills and resources of the residents
- You support and accompany the residents individually in coping with everyday life, promote their independence and social skills
- You maintain contacts with external offices
- You help create a positive residential group environment, support goal achievement, ensure appropriate interventions in psychiatric or somatic emergencies and take on administrative as well as household tasks
Your skills and talents
- You are a student in the Bachelor's degree program in Social Work
- You are interested in working with psychologically impaired adults and are willing to engage with the demands of everyday care work
- You are a responsible, resilient and independent personality and bring flexibility and teamwork skills
