Medico-technical assistance in sterilization
The sterilization center is looking for several medico-technical assistants in sterilization with an activity rate between 60% and 100%, for an indefinite contract. The starting date is scheduled for November 1, 2025, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The sterilization center, attached to the CHUV Hospital Logistics, has the main mission of providing sterile and functional products to all user services of CHUV, affiliated institutions, and external clients. Certified ISO 13485, it is a reference in the field of medical device reprocessing for other services and for external sterilizations. In this context, it ensures the training and information of the various health professionals concerned.
Mission
- You participate in certain stages of the reprocessing of medical devices, respecting quality and institutional guidelines
- You monitor the operation of equipment in the relevant activity and report any malfunctions observed
- You ensure the cleaning, maintenance, and self-check of the equipment provided
- You comply with the procedures in force
- You are willing to work variable hours, morning, evening, night (from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), weekends, and public holidays.
Profile
- You show a strong interest in the paramedical and hospital field
- You have some experience in sterilization, an asset
- You enjoy working with technical equipment and demonstrate manual dexterity
- You appreciate teamwork, are precise, meticulous, methodical, possess good adaptability, and a strong sense of responsibility
- You have good knowledge of the French language, level B2 required
- You master common office tools and production software
- You are ready to work in a demanding environment (noise, heavy lifting, confined spaces).
