This leadership position is crucial for the further development of systematic multi-asset mandates and innovation in the multi-asset team of the Asset Management of Zürcher Kantonalbank. The Systematic Mandate & Innovation division acts as a strategic innovation hub for rule-based allocation solutions, Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), data-driven investment processes, and new product concepts across all asset classes. The team consists of specialists in quantitative asset allocation, portfolio construction, data science, and digitization. If you bring proven quantitative expertise, deep multi-asset know-how, strong technological competence, and pronounced innovative strength, you are the ideal candidate for this key role. Leadership experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Your Tasks

Strategic leadership and further development of the Systematic Mandate & Innovation division in Multi-Asset Solutions
Overall responsibility for systematic multi-asset mandates, Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA), rule-based allocation solutions, and protection strategies
Further development of asset allocation models, digitization, and investment processes
Identification of market, technology, and innovation trends in systematic asset management
Development, implementation, and scaling of new systematic investment strategies and products
Representation of ZKB as a thought leader in systematic multi-asset and quantitative investment processes
Close collaboration with sales units in acquiring new clients
Conducting performance reviews with institutional and private clients
Leadership and further development of a specialized, interdisciplinary team (4 people)
Coordination of cross-departmental projects in asset management (portfolio management, data science, IT, product management)
Ongoing monitoring of global capital markets, regulatory developments, and product trends
Integration of new data sources, alternative signals, and AI-supported modeling approaches

Your Profile

Master's or PhD degree in finance, mathematics, physics, economics, data science, or related disciplines
Relevant professional experience with proven track record as a quantitative portfolio manager
Excellent presentation and communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
Deep understanding of quantitative investment models, risk models, portfolio construction, and optimization
Experience with quantitative models, machine learning, signal processing, and automation
High technology affinity and advanced programming skills (especially Python & SQL)
Entrepreneurial thinking, strong implementation orientation, and strategic foresight
Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written; working language is German
Very good network in the Swiss asset management and quant community
