We are looking for a General Manager Alps who is eager to lead the commercial affiliate team in Switzerland and Austria.
About the role
As General Manager Alps, you will lead the strategic and operational direction for the Austria & Switzerland cluster. You will be accountable for revenue growth, P&L management, and successful market penetration across all therapeutic areas.
This role requires a transformational leader who can balance empathy with performance, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure regulatory and ethical compliance.
The position is hybrid, with the main office in Bulle, Switzerland.
Regular business travel across Switzerland and Austria is expected.
Who you’ll work with
You will lead a team of Therapeutic Area Heads, Market Access & External Engagement, Medical Affairs, and the Digitalization Team.
You will also advise and oversee Quality, Finance, Talent, and Data Privacy functions through dotted-line relationships. You’ll collaborate closely with HQ and local stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Design and execute business strategies for Austria & Switzerland.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic and financial goals.
- Oversee operations and optimize resource allocation for efficiency.
- Orchestrate product commercialisation efforts, including launches and mature portfolio management.
- Build relationships with regulators, health authorities, and key customers.
- Ensure compliance with ethics, quality, and industry standards.

- Bachelor / Master’s degree in Life Sciences or similar.
- Proven leadership in pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Experience managing P&L and driving market growth.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and regulatory navigation skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Fluent in English; German and/or French is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Alps region.
