Help shape who is registered in the Swiss financial market as an independent insurance intermediary and is allowed to manage and operate the corresponding insurance mediation companies!
Main Tasks
- Independent clarification of supervisory-relevant behavior of future and current guarantors as well as conducting related preliminary clarifications
- Conducting clarifications regarding already registered insurance intermediaries
- Reviewing and clarifying indications concerning activities of persons and companies operating without the necessary FINMA registration
- Co-designing the practice for future warranty requirements
- Drafting decision bases and representing proposals in decision-making bodies
- Drafting contestable orders and conducting related enforcement procedures (including appeal procedures before the Federal Administrative Court)
- Close cooperation with the FINMA departments responsible for supervision and licensing activities as well as, on occasion, with the enforcement department
- Preparation and support of on-site inspections and conducting supervisory discussions
- Support in the area of cooperation with criminal authorities and legal assistance
Profile
- Completed Master’s degree in law from a Swiss university
- Attorney’s license or postgraduate training (e.g., CAS in compliance, financial market, or investigation area, LL.M.) is an advantage
- At least 4 to 5 years of professional experience in a supervised financial institution, a law firm, or a supervisory authority with very good knowledge of financial market law
- Interest in financial market law issues and developments
- Knowledge in the insurance sector or insurance mediation is an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (in German – C2) as well as very good knowledge of a second official language (Italian or French – C1)
- Investigative and communicative skills
