City Green Winterthur

The main department Forest and Landscape, with its 25 employees, is responsible for the care of the forest and various nature reserves within the city area.

Assignment: Calendar week 42 (13.10. - 17.10.2025) daily from 9 am to 2 pm.

Your Tasks

Invasive neophytes are plants introduced from foreign areas that spread massively at the expense of native species. They threaten biodiversity in the city forest. City Green Winterthur is looking for students (max. 7 students) who, under the guidance of a group leader, pull out neophytes such as Canadian goldenrod or glandular balsam in nature reserves of the city forest.

Your Profile

Minimum age: 14 years

Work location: City Forest Winterthur, meeting point: Breiti bus stop

Equipment: Sturdy clothing, rain protection, good footwear. Gloves will be provided by City Green Winterthur. Tick vaccination (FSME) is recommended

Salary:
Youth aged 14 and 15 CHF 9.76 gross/hour
Youth aged 16 and 17 CHF 14.64 gross/hour
