The fide office in Bern is responsible on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration SEM for the implementation and quality assurance of the fide system. With the fide-Test and the fide-Test edu, it operates nationwide recognized high-stakes language tests that are recognized in foreigner and citizenship procedures.

For the support of the examination institutions in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, we are looking for a professionally competent person from May 1, 2026, who ensures quality and takes responsibility.

Your tasks

• Information and support of institutions in the accreditation process

• Examination and assessment of accreditation dossiers as well as conducting on-site inspections

• Contact person for questions regarding test implementation

• Ensuring implementation quality, providing feedback, and initiating measures in case of deviations

• Organization and management of inspections, deployment planning and professional support of inspectors as well as responsibility for reporting

• Examination of applications (e.g., compensation for disadvantages, review of evaluation) as well as processing inquiries (inspection of test documents) and appeals

• Further development of the area and associated processes as well as maintenance of regulations

• Close cooperation with colleagues from other language regions as well as with other departments (e.g., test logistics, test development)

• Periodic reporting to management

• Ensuring structured documentation and archiving

Your profile

You combine service orientation with assertiveness and a calm, stable, always friendly attitude. Even in demanding situations, you remain objective, argue clearly, and represent decisions in a comprehensible and consistent manner.

In addition, you bring:

• A valid examiner license for the fide-Test or the fide-Test edu; alternatively, a comparable license with the willingness to complete the corresponding fide training promptly

• Several years of experience in the education, examination, or quality environment

• Very high linguistic proficiency in German as well as very good knowledge of French and/or Italian – combined with the ability to formulate precisely, factually, and appropriately for the target audience

• Strong punctuality and structured, reliable working style

• Confidence in dealing with different stakeholders as well as with complex and sensitive concerns

• Very good user skills in MS Office 365
