Head of the medical secretariat of the Institute of Pathology
The University Institute of Pathology, attached to the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, is looking for a secretariat manager at 80% for March 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The University Institute of Pathology is looking for a team leader for its medical secretariat composed of 5 people. It provides clinical diagnostic activity for the CHUV and various external reference centers, as well as teaching and research missions. It is accredited according to the ISO 15189 standard.
Mission
- You ensure the management of the medical secretariat staff and guarantee its smooth operation
- You participate in secretarial tasks, including the follow-up of complex files, file registration, and report typing
- You coordinate the quality approach (updating documents, compliance with guidelines and procedures, identification of non-conformities…)
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or a medical secretary diploma or an equivalent qualification
- You have 10 years of experience in a medical secretariat and at least 5 years in team management
- You master French spelling and have very good knowledge of medical terminology
- Very good knowledge of a second language (English or German) would be an asset
- You are perfectly comfortable with common office tools
- You are a proactive, versatile person with good communication and adaptability skills
- You have a sense of responsibility and organization, appreciate teamwork, and are service-oriented.
