Teach modules of industrial automation as well as fundamentals of mechanical engineering; supervise student project and thesis work
Develop and carry out application-oriented research projects with industry partners
Lead assistants or scientific staff (in teaching and research)
Contribute to attracting students
Actively contribute to the development and strengthening of the Department of Mechanical Engineering

What you ideally bring with you

Degree in mechanical engineering or automation; training in innovation management is an advantage
Solid experience in the machinery industry, industrial automation as well as in mechanical or plant engineering; very good knowledge in product development
Interest in innovation and research; knowledge of project acquisition and the Swiss funding landscape is an advantage
Flair for working with young adults, didactic skills (university didactics certificate can be obtained at BFH)
Teamwork skills, willingness to change; language skills: native German or equivalent, English
