The Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the enforcement of Swiss foreigner and asylum law, the agreement on the free movement of persons between Switzerland and the EU/EFTA states, as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements.
For the Residence/AIG department, we are looking for a team leader 100% starting April 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your tasks
In this interesting management position, you are responsible for the professional and personnel leadership of a team of six employees. You handle legally demanding individual cases and ensure, together with your team, services in the approval process of the cantonal migration authority. This includes all questions related to the regulation of the residence rights of foreign nationals.
Your profile
For this demanding leadership role, you have a university degree in law, leadership experience, and preferably administrative practice. We are looking for an independent, positive, and resilient personality with high social competence. Challenging situations are familiar to you, and you approach new things openly. You exemplify constructive and collegial collaboration, communicate authentically, and formulate with style. In addition to a pleasant, open manner and a winning appearance, you have a precise and efficient way of working. Flexibility, initiative, commitment, reliability, and a touch of humor complete your profile. You also hold Swiss citizenship.
