The KME Zurich is a secondary school in Zurich Seefeld with about 80 teachers and 700 students. To strengthen our media library team, we are looking for an employee for the media library/library starting January 5, 2026, or by arrangement, with a workload of 40-45%. Our extensive library offers students, teachers, and staff a wide-ranging and attractive media selection.
Your area of responsibility
In a small team, you are responsible for media lending and advising students and teachers. You have the responsibility for a specific and essential part of the media library's collection, including its cataloging and presentation. You introduce new teachers and students to the media library, provide research support for final papers, and advise learners in the media library. You assist in organizing and conducting events in the media library. Through cantonal networking with other secondary school libraries, you stay professionally up to date, and there is also the opportunity to participate in professional working groups.
Your profile
You have completed training as an Information and Documentation Specialist EFZ or a completed apprenticeship with the Bibliosuisse certificate course and necessarily several years of professional experience. Your personal strengths include independence, a structured way of working, and very good communication skills with different stakeholders in German. You enjoy contact with people and have a committed and service-oriented work attitude. You are confident in using common MS Office applications and are social media savvy. Since the media library works with winMedio.net, knowledge of this software is an advantage.
Our offer
We offer you a varied activity with diverse tasks and the opportunity to actively shape and further develop the media library. You can expect modern employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines as well as a personal atmosphere with a helpful and cooperative administrative and teaching team. The employment is based on annual working hours; the media library is closed during school holidays.
