Your new role
This varied position within the Office for Building Permits includes the assessment of building application documents, drafting building and fire safety consultations for the building permit decision, as well as the support, supervision, and control of various construction projects from the issuance of the building permit to the final inspection within an assigned area. You will carry out timely structural control tasks, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and impose conditions.
This responsible position is suitable for you if
- Your focus is on legal regulations, standards, and conditions from the building permit, and you check these requirements appropriately during construction inspections.
- Due to your experience, you can quickly recognize essential aspects on the construction site, are communicative, and have a healthy assertiveness.
- You have training as a construction foreman or a comparable professional background in a construction-related profession or administration and have professional experience.
- Ideally, you have acquired knowledge in the field of fire protection (fire protection specialist VKF), or you are willing to acquire this with our support.
- You bring a high level of reliability and a high degree of self-organization.
- You can express yourself clearly both orally and in writing.

The Office for Building Permits is part of the Directorate of Planning and Construction of the city administration. It supports planners and applicants throughout the entire building permit process, conducts it, decides on building applications, and submits proposals to the building permit commission. In addition, our department is responsible for compliance with building regulations.
In this area of responsibility, the Construction Supervision Department plays a key role in monitoring building regulations and conditions, including fire, civil, and water protection. In the Office for Building Permits, in addition to construction supervision, the Services Department, building consulting, and the secretariat of the building permit commission are also integrated.
