The Family Office is part of the Office for Education and Sports. It supports children, young people, families, and people with migration experience in being an active part of our society.
We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a leader with a participatory leadership style and strong teamwork skills, who skillfully fills the role of "primus inter pares" and, together with the head of the office, tries out new paths with high leadership competencies. The position consists half of management and half of basic work.
Area Manager / Area Manager School Social Work (80%)
Your tasks:
- Team leadership and coaching of school social workers (8-10 permanent employees, as well as one internship position)
- Concept, strategy, and project work, especially in the area of further development and quality management in collaboration with the head of the office and the team
- Sensitization and public relations work as well as networking and representation in regional, cantonal, and possibly national committees
- "Basic work" in one or more school buildings
- Individual and group counseling (students, parents, and other stakeholders)
- Consulting persons from the school environment (especially teachers, day school staff, and school management)
- Implementing preventive offers
You bring with you:
- Degree in social work or equivalent education
- Life and leadership experience as well as a participatory leadership style
- Systemic working method and very good self-management
- Methodological competence for leadership, counseling, and project work
- Very good organizational skills, high willingness to cooperate, and pronounced interdisciplinary thinking
- Professional experience working with children, young people, and families
- Familiarity with the school field and its framework conditions
- High willingness for flexible work deployment (locations, work forms, increased workload during semesters with compensation possibility during non-teaching periods)
