Then you are exactly right for the Career Choice Year (BWJ)! The BWJ is a post-compulsory offer of the Day School Grenchen, Bachtelen, with two days of school and three days of work internship.

To complement our team in the Career Choice Year (BWJ)

we are looking from March 2026 for a

Career Coach, 20 – 50 %

as maternity cover with the option of extension

Your field of activity:

• As a career coach, you are responsible for coordinating and designing the career choice and career integration of the 5 – 6 students of the Career Choice Year.
• You accompany young people with special support needs in behavior, learning, and cognition in their career choice and plan preparatory steps towards working life with them and the responsible authorities.
• You take over case management of the young people and work in close cooperation with parents and guardians.
• You maintain close contact internally and externally with the network of companies.
• If you have a teaching qualification, you conduct lessons focusing on the individual follow-up solutions of the young people (option to increase workload from August 2026).

What you bring with you:

• A degree as a teacher, in school special education, or in social work (depending on the training, the fields of work are divided differently within the team).
• Experience in case management and systemic collaboration with internal and external agencies and companies.
• Enjoyment in supporting young people with special educational needs.
• A team- and solution-oriented, as well as independent working style.
• Ability to reflect and enthusiasm for further development.
