Sponsoring Coordinator Team Leader

ARIS is a student initiative based at ETH Zürich (Dübendorf) that inspires students across Switzerland to gain hands-on space-related project experience and contribute to space-related project challenges through academic and industry collaborations. As part of the business team, you will tackle the challenge of enhancing our competition systems, growing our team, and building our network.

From the technical side, ARIS is currently making progress on several exciting projects, including developing a hybrid rocket engine with a guided recovery system for the European Rocketry Challenge in Portugal. Additionally, ARIS is developing a CubeSat with the SAGE project and working on the Karman rocket project to build a rocket capable of flying up to 100 km. We are also building a biliquid engine test stand to further our research and development in this field.

On the business side, ARIS has been expanding its team in areas such as marketing, finance, and HR, and collaborating with new academic partners to provide the best possible framework for all engineering projects.

The goal of the business team is to constantly develop processes to address ongoing growth. To achieve our ambitious projects and continue our exciting growth, we require a motivated Sponsoring Coordinator Team Leader, who can contribute to the team by enhancing competition systems, growing our team, and building our network.

As the Sponsoring Coordinator Team Leader, your main responsibilities would include:

  • Developing a sponsorship strategy: You would need to develop a comprehensive sponsorship strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives. This should include identifying potential sponsorships, evaluating the benefits of each opportunity, and creating a plan for maximizing the value of each sponsorship.
  • Identifying potential sponsorships: You would need to research and identify potential sponsorships that align with the company’s brand and target audience. This could include events, sports teams, or other organizations.
  • Evaluating sponsorship opportunities: You would need to evaluate each potential sponsorship opportunity based on the benefits it offers, such as brand exposure, access to a target audience, or the potential for sales leads.
  • Negotiating sponsorship deals: You would need to negotiate sponsorship deals with the organizations selected for sponsorship. This could involve working with legal teams to draft contracts, managing budgets, and ensuring that the sponsorship delivers the expected benefits.
  • Managing sponsorships: You would need to manage the company’s sponsorships, ensuring that the company is meeting its obligations under each agreement and that the sponsorships are delivering the expected benefits. This could include managing budgets, coordinating with other departments, and reporting on key metrics.
  • Building relationships: You would need to build relationships with sponsors, ensuring that the company maintains strong partnerships and that both parties benefit from the sponsorship.
  • Managing the sponsoring team: If you have a team working under you, you would be responsible for managing their work, setting goals and objectives, and providing feedback and support to ensure they are performing at their best.

Overall, your role as the Sponsoring Coordinator Team Leader would be to create and execute a sponsorship strategy that drives brand exposure, builds relationships with key organizations, and supports the ARIS’s overall goals and objectives.
