Specialist Secretary: Occupational Safety and Health 70-80%
Your responsibilities
For the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) dossier, you ensure the legally guaranteed participation of employees and advocate for an improvement of the framework conditions. You participate in joint sectoral solutions and advise and support internal sector managers and union secretaries in all OSH matters. You represent Unia in expert committees, lead projects, and develop foundations for decision-making processes, for sectoral or political campaigns as well as for training and meetings. You are responsible for exchange and coordination with the Swiss Trade Union Federation.
Your profile
- Proven skills in developing foundations and positions as well as in conveying content to different target groups
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Trade union political sensitivity, identification with Unia's values
- Knowledge in the field of occupational safety and health at the workplace; knowledge of labor law is an advantage
- Experience in campaign and/or project work
- University degree or comparable education and experience
- Fluent German or French in spoken and written form as well as very good knowledge of the other language; knowledge of Italian is an advantage
- Initiative, team-oriented, service-minded, and persistent personality
