Managing Director (m/f)

With enthusiasm and technical knowledge, you will develop customised door solutions with your team for demanding customers in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and ensure their timely and cost-effective production, installation, and service throughout the entire lifecycle.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and implementing the strategy in close collaboration with the management team and the group headquarters
• Developing and implementing budgets together with the management team
• Ensuring efficient sales activities combined with targeted marketing measures to further increase market penetration and promote the brand image
• Ensuring the technical design of door solutions, their production and installation – on time and within the calculated costs
• Ensuring a professional service organisation (maintenance and repair)
• Ensuring the high quality of products and services through appropriate processes and quality controls
• Maintaining operational readiness of infrastructure, machines, tools, and vehicles through appropriate maintenance
• Responsibility for financial management, including P&L and budget
• Responsibility for compliance with local laws, occupational safety regulations, and internal group rules and regulations
• Leading a motivated and strong management team with entrepreneurial spirit and by exemplifying a performance-oriented corporate culture
• In addition to the Managing Director’s duties, direct responsibility for the Zurich branch

Your qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineer (ETH, university, FH) with additional business management training
• Several years of professional experience as managing director of an SME with a corresponding track record
• Extensive experience in industrial companies with production
• Strong determination to implement the growth strategy in the long term
• Highly analytical and structured thinker with pronounced implementation strength and hands-on mentality
• Strong customer orientation and acquisition experience as well as high quality awareness
• Innovative and excellent technical competence
• Enthusiastic and proactive leadership personality with charisma, high motivational ability, assertiveness, and confident appearance
• Fluent in German, good command of English
• Good IT skills (ERP, MS Office)
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland
