Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
The career, study, and career counseling informs and advises young people and adults on all questions related to education and training as well as profession and career. For the biz Meilen (Career Information Center), we are looking for a career, study, and career counselor with a workload of 60-80% starting June 1, 2026, or by agreement. The position is initially limited to one year, with the option of extension and later permanent employment.
The focus of your activity lies both in initial training counseling for young people and the supervision of a secondary school as well as in advising clients receiving social assistance. The task profile also includes potential assessment for integration pre-apprenticeship as well as placement.
In addition to individual counseling, you conduct class and parent orientations, school office hours, and other school-related activities. Additionally, you provide information desk services, participate in events, and engage in specialist groups.
Applicants with several years of counseling experience also take on career counseling, viamia counseling, and RAV counseling.
You bring:
- a recognized degree or advanced training in career, study, and career counseling
- professional experience in career and career counseling
- solid knowledge of counseling methods and diagnostic tools
- joy in process-oriented work as well as a pronounced service and quality orientation
- a cooperative and solution-oriented attitude

- good user knowledge of MS Office
