Resident Control Officer at 100%
Purpose of the role:
As an Officer at the Municipal Population Service, you ensure the management, organization, and planning of the service's work. While supervising a small team, you actively participate in the execution of daily tasks, thus guaranteeing the continuity and quality of the service provided to the population. You ensure effective and welcoming services to the residents and guarantee the proper application of the laws and regulations in force.
Main tasks:
- Supervise, motivate, train, and develop a small team of collaborators;
- Manage the resident register and the civic register (votings, elections, initiatives, and referendums);
- Ensure quality reception at the counter, by phone, and by email;
- Manage naturalization and foreign persons' files;
- Issue identity cards, certificates, and other official documents;
- Control the cash register, invoices, and participate in budget preparation;
- Write the service management report and ensure administrative follow-up;
- Collaborate with municipal, cantonal, and federal authorities.
Your profile:
- Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as a commercial employee or equivalent qualification, ideally complemented by a specialist certificate in population office / resident control;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Multicultural approach;
- Proven experience in team management;
- Very good knowledge of laws and regulations related to the field of activity;
- Excellent command of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written, knowledge of English. A second foreign language is an asset;
- Knowledge of specific software: Innosolv City, Siti, SYMIC or GestStar-Com is desirable.
