The IPI's Trademarks & Design division is looking for individuals interested in expanding their knowledge who will strengthen the team and help examine over 30,000 Swiss and international trademarks each year. You don't need to be Einstein, but it certainly helps to know that Apple is more than just a fruit and that not all Pandas live in the zoo. The role awaiting you is diverse and will allow you to research, discuss, argue, decide, and grow professionally. Through your work, you will help ensure compliance with processing deadlines and customer satisfaction. You will also acquire numerous skills that might help you stand out in the next quiz night. Main Tasks
- Decide whether a trademark can be protected, using your research skills and ability to formulate reasons in accordance with practice.
- Convince with your writing and argumentation skills by clearly and precisely explaining the various reasons for rejecting a trademark.
- Provide verbal and written information to IPI clients.
- Opportunity to collaborate in the medium term in different teams or expert groups (e.g., in the application of practice, organizational development, internal training, or projects).
Profile
Profile
- Degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., CAS Paralegal, SSS law diploma), preferably complemented by initial professional experience.
- Native Italian speaker with excellent knowledge of German and French.
- Interest in conducting research, writing texts, and arguing.
- Broad general knowledge, quick learning ability, and interest in legal matters.
- Ability to work independently within multilingual teams with a deadline-oriented approach.
- Openness to new things and familiarity with working with digital processes and project groups.
